I can't believe its only 100 days until the wedding. Neither can Shea...I believe his words were something like...only 100 single days left...
Boy are the days flying. So what is new with Shea and me, you may wonder or NOT?
Bridal Showers. Bridal Showers are scheduled and I can't wait! My soon to be Sisters-In-Law are hosting a shower for me in Cincinnati on April 23, 2011 at 12pm. My friend Sally at my office is hosting an office shower for me on Thursday, May 18, 2011, following work. My bridesmaids Rose, Lita and Suzy are hosting a shower for me on June 4, 2011 at 2:00p.m. at Lita's in Rowlett.
First Wedding Dress Fitting. Well that went pretty good; I still love my dress! Only $95 for minor changes as the hem and bustle were included in the price of the dress. I go back on the 15th to see it all pertified.
Bridal Pictures. I've scheduled the bridal pictures. Yep, I get to try on the dress one more time before the big day.
Setting up the Food Tasting and Linen Samples. We're now in the process of setting up the food tasting and linen sampling at the Hyatt. Waiting on the hotel to make all the contacts. Fancy food, yum....
Invitations. Shea and I continue to make headway with the wedding invitations; we've made it to the letter "H" wha ha ha. We should be done by the deadline.
Painting and Fancification of Home. The plan is to have minor fixes to the house, painting, pictures hung and major yard work done by May 15th. Oh ya, and to have me completely moved in at that point as much of my furniture remains at my old home. Every week we're trying to do a pickup load but the stuff that's left is heavy and neither one of us really wants to move it. Onward upward as it were. Currently done: Dining room:red wall painted; pictures hung. Family room: blue wall painted; curtains hung; pictures hung. Master bedroom painted light sage green, curtains hung. Yard, trees cut down, flowerbeds created, mulch laid. I'd go on and on about the horrors of hanging curtains but since you've no doubt done this hazardous duty and come out alive, I'll leave it at "bleepin curtains" what a pain. Oh ya, I also need to steam the wrinkles out of those curtains...that $30 steamer from Tuesday morning sure has come in handy; cause I hate ironing! We've added to the painting list and have decided to paint another wall blue. When you come you'll get to see how that turned out lol...if we get to it that is.
Boxing up the Wedding Stuff. Mom and I spent Sunday going through the items that we've already bought for the wedding and putting them in labeled boxes. We also taste tested some chocolate cake. In other words, we continue to remain busy!
Big Early Thank You to Mom and Don for working your tails off preparing for the wedding. You've gone above and beyond. THANK YOU.
Fun Side, Thanks to Malcolm and Karen for the party, we had a wonderful time. More fun to come as we are heading over to Ellis to see a triple play movie at the Drive In this Sat. We bring chairs and back the pickup into the slot and sit up high. I want to see Scream 4 but I suspect we'll be seeing a cartoon instead...regardless, I'll have fun! Last but not least, next week we head up to Cincinnati, can't wait to see all the relations and have a blast. See ya all soon!
